O presente volume resulta de uma seleção dos trabalhos apresentados pelos alunos, no âmbito da unidade curricular História e Teoria da Conservação e Restauro, da Licenciatura em Conservação e Restauro, no Instituto Politécnico de Tomar (IPT; Portugal), no ano académico de 2023/2024.
Os alunos foram desafiados pela docente a olhar de forma crítica para o mundo ao seu redor no sentido de identificarem casos de Conservação Criativa, para além daqueles que lhes foram apresentados em contexto de sala de aula. Em alternativa, a docente deu também a possibilidade aos alunos de identificarem exemplos que pudessem ser pertinentes na ligação entre criatividade artística e conservação e restauro e que potenciassem o alargamento do conceito de Conservação Criativa tal como definido atualmente.
Os trabalhos foram selecionados de acordo com o seu potencial interesse para a comunidade internacional da conservação e restauro e áreas afins, tendo sido organizados em torno dos principais temas abordados pelos alunos.

This volume is the result of a selection of works presented by students as part of the History and Theory of Conservation and Restoration curricular unit of the Conservation and Restoration undergraduate programme at the Polytechnic University of Tomar (IPT; Portugal) in the 2023/2024 academic year.
The students were challenged by the professor to look critically at the world around them in order to identify cases of Creative Conservation, beyond those presented to them in the classroom. Alternatively, the lecturer also gave the students the chance to identify examples that could be relevant to the link between artistic creativity and conservation and restoration and that could help broaden the concept of Creative Conservation as it is currently defined.
Papers have been selected according to their potential interest for the international conservation and restoration community and related areas, and have been organised around the main themes addressed by the students.
